Does it work without WiFi?
No — the Landline needs home WiFi. No SIM, no mobile contract, no phone number to memorise.
Can strangers call my child?
No. Only contacts you approve in the app can call in or out. There is no way around the allow list.
Why no group calls?
1:1 calls are more personal, more attentive, and they sidestep the dynamics that make group chats stressful for kids.
Why no texting?
Texting invites brevity and endless threads. A phone call invites presence. We think kids have enough to text with — and not enough to actually talk about.
What data do you collect on my child?
Minimal. Call metadata only, never content. We don't sell data and we don't run ads.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Core calling is included forever. Landline+ is an optional subscription for extras like the morning check-in.
Can my kid call emergency services?
No. Landline is designed for family calling, not as a primary phone. Keep a real phone for emergencies.
What if we move house or change WiFi?
